About Murga Infantil Los Retorciditos

Welcome to the Murga infantil Los Retorciditos (our little twists). The translation of the word murga is “a street singing band. Los Retordicitos are the ONLY infantile murga in the south of Tenerife. Ages range from 4 to 17 years.

The journey began in 2008 when a group of mothers and their children attended the adult murgas contest in Santa Cruz, where they promptly fell in love with the world of murgas , embarking on a great adventure!

After the first year of competing, they had the great good fortune to meet FRANCISCO JAVIER CONDE and become acquainted with his immense range of experience in adult murgas. So the children decided to convince him to teach and take charge of this, at that time, small family.
Their persuasive efforts paid off and he said ...... YES.

Since then eleven incredible and successful years have passed and the family has grown to 55 children.

Los Retorciditos have won many awards under the guidance of Fran and his talented daughter, Amanda Conde who is the current director, being the youngest in the history of children's murgas.

The murga exists thanks to the children, their parents, relatives and friends who are part of this incredible family and work tirelessly in raising money to help the murga, as there is very, very little “official” help.
They arrange, events, raffles, Christmas lotteries, etc. to raise the necessary money to continue presenting spectacular fantasies.
Hopefully all those who come to this website will help to keep this dream year after year, a reality. A dream that gives so much happiness to such a lot of people.
